Everyone should know that one minute is composed of sixty seconds. But according to IDT lots of telephone card corporations only give customers 36 seconds in a minute. According to the assertion done by some IDT corporation, a lot of calling card corporations are taking part in unfair competition. In 2007 IDT/UTA (Union Telecard Alliance) began a suit against some companies-providers of prepaid phone cards attributing erroneous advertising and misleading trade operations.

IDT/UTA had asserted that unlike its own phone cards, those of many of its competitors supply only approximately 60 percent of the minutes of telephone services proposed and promoted on voice help heard by clients in connection with calls made by using the cards of accused and advertised by these competitors on th TV, newspaper, placard, global network, or other medium. In November 2007 Total Call International, Inc. and IDT/UTA have obtain a complete settlement of the suit brought by IDT Telecom, Inc. and Union Telecard Alliance, LLC versus Total Call. Before that IDT/UTA started enforcement procedure against the group of accused for three times. Today there is a list of other accused comprises about six corporations and some of them are: Epana Networks Inc., Dollar Phone Corp., etc.. IDT/UTA's lawsuit versus the remaining defendants is still continuing in federal court in Newark, New Jersey.
